With the unveiling of the X-Slim X340 at the CeBIT Computer Exhibition in Hanover, Germany, MSI launched the next generation of lean, mean computing machines—laptops equipped with the CULV platform. In late May, as many major international manufacturers were only announcing their intention to begin developing this category of notebook computers, the X340 was already turning heads in key markets around the world.
MSI explains that to date, the MSI X-Slim X340 has received almost 3 million hits on Google. Hit numbers for laptops outfitted with the same platform produced by competitors paled in comparison. The X340 only just made its debut, but it has already received 13 major awards from around the world.
Internationally renowned tech magazine PC World points out that the 13" X-Slim X340 has rewritten the standards for size to weight ratios in laptops, tipping the scales at a mere 1.3 kg, and for quality in high-resolution LED displays. Authoritative European technology magazine, Chip describes the X340 as chic and elegant, asserting that MSI is breathing down the necks of leaders in the field of notebook computers. The long battery life, friendly price tag, and better multimedia functions help make this slender beauty the best choice.
The MSI X-Slim X340 also received two thumbs up for its outstanding multimedia performance from ASCII, a major technology publication in gadget-hungry Japan. ASCII says that the X340’s design takes full advantage of Intel’s Dual-core CPUs for CULV Platform. As a result, it uses only 1/6 the power of conventional CPUs with no loss in performance and boasts excellent heat dissipation and long battery life. In another world record for a laptop its size, the X340 is less than 2 cm thick.
ASCII further points out that the X340 is exceptional in terms of multimedia performance. It boasts the latest generation HD television specs for its 16:9 display, supports Blu-ray, and has a variety of wireless devices, that are either included or can be purchased optionally. This slender beauty is a power packing, truly mobile multimedia center.
A baker’s dozen of major tech mags from around the world, inlcuding T3, Hardware Zone, Mobil, Compress, and Hard & Soft, were all unanimous in their praise of the MSI X-Slim X340 for its light weight, slender body, outstanding performance, and exceedingly long battery life. They also agree that its accessories, including the computer carrying case and mouse, are also very attractively designed. They bestowed the X340 with such titles as Best Cost Performance Ratio, Editor’s Choice, Best Product of the Month, and Best Buy.
